Played With Macro Tonight

Well, I got bored and decided to play with some macro photography.  I had a sheet of paper on a the dining room table and was doing some shots of a shard of pottery I found today when I accidentally knocked the salt over onto the paper.  I bean to think of what kind of effect a strobe laying flat on the table set in slave mode, and a mounted strobe bouncing off the ceiling would do.  I was pleasantly pleased with the result.  Who knew salt could create such shadows?

I am looking for some gay/lesbian couples

Well, I’m looking to do some portraits again

I’m looking for people who want to come out to Colonial Williamsburg and get some free portraits!  My last few attempts were on too short of a notice that no one could make it… so this time, let me know when you are able to do it!  I am limiting it to the first 10 people, so let me know!

“At a League of Nations conference in 1933, Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels remains seated while speaking to his interpreter. German-born Alfred Eisenstaedt, later one of the founding photographers of LIFE, recalled that Goebbels smiled at him until he learned that Eisenstaedt was Jewish — a moment Eisenstaedt captured in this photo. Suddenly, “he looked at me with hateful eyes and waited for me to wither,” the photographer recalled. “But I didn’t wither.” Not only didn’t he wither, he managed to take perhaps the most chilling portrait of pure evil to run in LIFE’s pages.”

Looking For a Cheap QWERTY Sprint Phone

Anyone out there have a cheap QWERTY phone for Sprint they want to get rid of?  I’m looking to downgrade my account, I don’t use the internet enough to justify an extra $30 ever month.  If anyone has one for less than $25, let me know.  It doesn’t have to be perfect condition, as long as text messages can be read and it works, I’d be happy.  Please text details to (757)593-5492

Looking to do Some People Shots on Friday

Anyone in the Williamsburg area want to head out for a free session this Friday?  This is a just for fun day to experiment with new techniques.  If you’re interested in coming out for a bit, let me know (757)593-5492 (texting is preferred).  This would be a great time to get an updated Facebook shot or just some fun shots with friends.

Got My Good Neighbor Pass

So I finally went and got the Good Neighbor pass for Colonial Williamsburg, this will open up a bunch of new opportunities for photos in the Colonial area.  I am taking the 5DII and the Minolta on a scouting day for the buildings and museums in CW.  Should be an interesting day of scouting and exploration!

Breaking the Stereotype Update and an Apology

Sadly, I have yet to get this project really rolling due to the hectic and sporadic schedule with my regular job.  I haven’t had the time to really get much momentum behind this or meet with people.  I hope to finally get the project rolling sometime in mid-January.
